Science teacher Mrs Davy has become one of the half-a-million plus people who have now volunteered for the NHS.
Mrs Davy logged onto the Good Samaritan website and, with many others, has offered her time to help others.
“I’m fit and well and I just want to help. I’m very much a team player kind-of person and I just want to do my bit for the NHS as they’ve always been there for us
“I’ve volunteered to deliver equipment or medicines, drive patients and to make contact at home with people who just need that daily check in.
“It’s important to volunteer if you feel confident to at this time. My family are all safe and fit and being cared for.
“It won’t disrupt my primary focus which is the students at St John Fisher. Is also why we as humans survive – we help each other.”
