On Thursday 7 December, we will be hosting a performance of “Somebody’s Sister, Somebody’s Daughter”. This is a powerful drama about sexual exploitation and street grooming which will be seen by our Y9 pupils. The play dramatises the dangers and the complex issues involved in this most sensitive of subjects.
The production will provide a greater understanding and awareness of street grooming, social media vulnerability, online threats and “sexting” and is based on research carried out with young people and professionals.
Our Y9 pupils have been completing pre-performance preparations in their drama lessons. This will continue post-performance to ensure that our pupils have a real understanding of the dangers of child sexual exploitation.
