During the last half term Year Ten pupils have been encouraged to think about their plans when the time comes to leave St. John Fisher Catholic High School.

Mrs McMiken and the careers service organised for pupils to experience a job interview; participants were praised for the preparation they did prior to these interviews and the professionalism they showed throughout the process.

Additionally, all Year Ten pupils visited St. John Rigby College in order to experience life at a sixth form college, sampling a range of subjects and more importantly the catering services on offer!  A smaller group of pupils undertook a similar day at Winstanley College.

Finally, the first of many visitors came to school to present on behalf of the many possible post 16 destinations available to our pupils.  Rainford Sixth Form came in to school to outline what they have to offer and to publicise their open evening.

All in all, it has been a very busy and thought provoking time for Year 10
