Last week, 7R held a cake sale in the library to raise money for Derian House children's charity. The grand total raised was £28. Thanks to everyone involved!
On Wednesday, 36 Year Nine students took part on a STEM workshop delivered by two Chemical Engineering students from Manchester University. The students learned that developing countries often don't not have access to electricity as they are lacking in resources. They then were challenged to build a wind-turbine of their own with limited materials.

Preparation for The Big Book Quiz has started in the library at S.J.F.! This term, pupils will be reading the four nominated books cover to cover ready for round one of the Quiz (date TBC), where they will pit their literary wits against other Wigan schools. This week, pupils started picking names for their teams.
