Year Seven students have baked their way into the Easter spirit with a selection of themed cakes

The Nurture Group which comprises students who are unable to play the usual school sports paid a visit to the Wigan Youth Zone where they had the opportunity to try other activities such as curling, sitting volleyball, climbing and pool.

Students celebrated World Book Day with a book swap. Children brought in books from home and about 55 were swapped with the most popular titles being the classics, Dr Who and the Diaries of a Wimpy Kid. Club members have enjoyed making alien blood, cinder toffee and flaming bubbles. They are now moving on to fire writing and making a small fire extinguisher. There has been so much interest in the Chemistry Club that there are now two groups!
